Regency Top Baffle – Medium Inserts & Stoves 2400/HI3100 (020-957)

This is an OEM Regency Top Baffle that is found in several medium sized Regency wood stoves and wood inserts (see applicable models below). This is a genuine Regency replacement part that will ship new in its original packaging, it is not an aftermarket copy.

Part Description: This is a top baffle for many Regency (and Hampton) wood burning stoves and wood burning inserts. There are (2) baffles in the set and each baffle measures approximately 9.5″ x ~15″ x 1″. In a wood-burning stove, the baffle’s primary function is to trap heated air and exhaust gases inside the firebox, maximizing heat extraction and reducing emissions. This is achieved by forcing smoke and gases to take a longer path within the stove before exiting through the chimney, allowing more heat to be transferred to the stove’s surface.

Purpose: Baffles in wood burning appliances are designed to keep the heat inside the firebox to ensure a clean burn.  They also protect the top of the appliance from over heating.  If they are damaged, cracked or deteriorating in any way, they should be replaced.

Installation Tips: Often to there is a trick in replacing top baffles. It will take some time and patience
