Purpose

This pilot assembly ignites the main burner and includes safety components like thermocouples that detect flame presence and signal the gas valve to remain open. This prevents dangerous unburned gas release by automatically shutting off gas flow if the pilot flame goes out, ensuring safe fireplace operation.
