PURPOSE: Adheres all types of gasket materials to cast iron & steel. Can be used to seal cracks in stoves and stove pipe and withstands temperatures up to 2000°F. Ideal for gasket replacements and adhering wood stove wooden door handles and wood fireplace wooden door handles.

TIPS: Remember to remove the old gasket and gasket glue from your wood stove.  It is important that you remove all debris from the channel – you may need to use a wire brush, steel wool or some other tool to remove all of the debris.  Once you remove the debris, simply squeeze a bead of the gasket glue in the channel, place the gasket on top of it, without stretching the gasket.  It is important that the gasket is not stretched.  Then simply close the door and let the bond between the door and the gasket set up.  You may need to wait a while before firing the stove after installing the gasket (if you fire the stove too soon, they gasket may adhere to the stove rather than the glue).
